By chance did I miss the application of loctite to the locking bolt that holds the wrist pin in place? I'm running a 235' 6 cyl. and have heard loctite was required on the 3/8" bolt. The only thing I've done with these engines is torque them to 35 ft.lbs. with a new bolt and lock washer. Do I need to tear down the engine I hope not, this one isn't leaking at all.. THANKS

Don't worry about it. They didn't have locktite back in the 50's and they worked fine.

Thanks for the info. I feel better now that you clued me in on loctite. My father even told me when he farmed back in the 50's he'd never heard of loctite himself.
