Interesting, but not very accurate.
The Model A "4 banger" was one of the first 'Hot Rods' just after WWII in the mid forties. They used a custom head made by Riley.
Later on; the (1948 Mercury) 59AB 'flathead' was very popular along with Chevrolet and GMC modfied engines. Many of these used custom heads made by Arden and Wayne.
Add the 300+ CID Hudson and 'inlines' were 4-1 on the lakes/drag strip.
These all "took turns" setting reccords till 1955 when the SBC became popular at the drags and the "muscle car" era began in Detroit, Mi.
The rest is history.
