I sent the following e:mail to Classic Inlines:

"Does Classic Inlines have any intentions to offer an aluminum cylinder head for the Chevrolet 194/230/250/292 inline 6 cylinder family of engines? A comment was mentioned on the Inliners International website. Brazil and Argentina also have a market for this engine."

I received the following reply yesterday:

"Mike "AzCoupe""
YES..... Sometime next year.

Their website and some information on their new Ford inline 6 cylinder head:

http://www.classicinlines.com/
http://classicinlines.com/proddetail.asp?prod=FSP%2D200%2DACH
http://classicinlines.com/alumaspec.asp

Hopefully the new cylinder heads will be offered.

Yes they plan to make them.
But if you want something different than a stock type casting ,but in aluminum,, let them know what improvements you want to see.

That's a start.
Do you still want three intake ports?

Hank,

From your reply, you appear to have more information on Classic Inlines' status with the proposed Chevrolet 250/292 aluminum cylinder head. Do you have any more information concerning its development?

I was impressed with Classic Inlines' process in developing the Ford small six cylinder aluminum head. They considered a lot of scenarios and alternatives and used good insight to develop a reasonably priced performance head.

I really do not have any more info, but the owner emailed me talking a little about the Ford head, flow numbers ect.
He is here on the BB but says he does not visit that often, really busy.

I would suggest all of you interested in an aftermarket head by them would be to email them direct w/your thoughts on how to improve this cylinder head,194-292 Chevy.

Like for instance. You would like a 12 port head.
You would like to use a Offy or Clifford intake that is for the original head,,,,but you would need to install dividers.
Just a thought,to keep cost down,as not having to make a custom intake manifold,or they cast another intake manifold (for a 12 port head) & sell the head & intake as a package??
