I have a 64 with a good 230. I purchased a 2 bbl holley progressive. I thinking perhaps I should go to a 4 bbl to get extra performance. My motor is sound so don't want to replace motor at this time. "happy new year"!!

If the motor is a stocker you can stay with the 2bbl progressive carb. and save the bucks.

Even a small 4 brl carb (Holley #8007, 350cfm) wouldn't help you except at higher rpm's and you'd be overcarburated at the lower rpm's. Stick with the progressive carb on a small stock engine.
