I am changing out my manual front end for a power '84 C4 Corvette in the near (I hope) future. This means I will need to mount a power steering pump to an already crowded pulley system, including crank pulley, water pump pulley, A/C compressor pulley, and alternator pulley on my '73 250. The A/C unit sits above the distributor and the alternator sits low on the driver's side. Are you guys going to a vendor to buy your bracketts or are you fabricating them yourselves? In trying to think it out, could one run a belt from the alternator (with a two groove pulley) to only the p/s pump? "A picture is worth a thousand words." Thanks in advance.

Yes you can run a belt that way. That's the I ran my power steering on my 36 Dodge with 292 and also on my 54 GMC 302. Joe

Just remember, if you run the pulley that way, if either belt is at all loose, you will be chasing a squeal till you get them BOTH tight.

I only know this as a Former GF had a Grand Wagoneer with a stup like that (except IRRC it was the smog pump and the alternator). Of course it probably helps when everything isn't worn out.

My, what a steep learning curve. Erik II#5155

I have a picture, but I don't think it is worth a thousand words. But this might be worth 80 bucks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet...tem220191413104
