AJ I installed a T-5 in a '38 Dodge bus.cpe. and wrote an article on it. Believe it came out in May-June 2000 issue of The 12 Port News. If you don't have the issue Jack can provide it for you. I used a Camaro 273 rear and its a great ride, cruise 70 mph @ 2000 rpm's and will get 20 mpg. Upgraded the 218 to a 230 ci. The T-5 is not a bolt on,needs much fabrication but its worth every bit of it.

Inliner Grant Galbraith wrote up a fine tech article on the T5 S10, it is posted at:
http://stovebolt.com/truck/techtips/t5tranny.htm

If you want to take advantage of the better ratios in the F-body (Camaro/Firebird) T5, there is another way to go, check out:

Jack,

Is it possible to get a copy of that newsletter? I've got a '52 Plymouth that's just screaming for some extra gears. You can email me at gilmore *at* eng.usf.edu Thanks!

The T5 conversion has been featured in several aticles in the "12 Port News". If you're an Inliners member, your newsetter has details on ordering back issues. Sorry, but our bylaws restrict newsletter sales to members only.

We'll soon be expanding our back issue library to include reprints of all issues since 1981. THese will be available in limited supply and we'll have a tech index of every topic since the first issue. Not only drivetrain but engine build articles
(Leo's "Inline Power Manual" originated as 12 chapters in our newsletter), feature cars, tech tips and tons more. What better reason to join up? 6 new issues a year and access to 21 years of history.
