I went from a power glide to a sag 3speed and went from prety much high 18s to mid 17s I don't realy think there any hp gains But it sure felt like it. But I think it had to do with the first gear. But then there is a little hp gain over a STD then a AT. takes little more for the AT. I guess thats something to do with the pressure build up in the At I don't know . bu thope this helps anyway.}[oooooo]

I have the gear ratio's posted on my site for the different transmissions. Like Twisted6 said, probably no HP gain.Go to my site and click on GM Transmissions, take a look at the first gear ratio's. http://www.angelfire.com/nv/conv/

Hey, Terry!

If finding a needle in a haystack is a milestone, then I just accomplished it! I took a peek at your website, and the Chevy II didn't look too familiar at first. BUT, as SOON as I took a look at the pictures under they "My Nova" link, I nearly fell out of my chair!! LOL. I clearly remembered how waaaay back when I first bought my Offy 4 bbl. intake for my 250, I was having trouble rebuilding the linkage that came with it (the exact same linkage as yours). If I remember correctly, I found you on THIS message board, and you showed me some pictures of your setup. Two of those pictures are on that page, and I recognized them IMMEDIATELY. Somehow, we lost contact and I thought I would NEVER hear from you again! I guess I was wrong! Apparently, your Chevy II has come along quite well since we last spoke! Are you still using that exhaust manifold- or did you switch over to headers? As soon as I get a chance, I will gladly send you some pics of my 250- since I never had the chance to do so!

I'd love to see some pics of your car. I just recently pulled the 194 and put in a 250, I actually haven't finished the little stuff yet. I left the stock carb and exhaust for now. Glad I was able to help
