I am about to begin assembly of my first straight six, a 250.

I am installing a small turbo to make it more interesting. Not many people in Winnipeg hold onto a straight six anymore, they all just put a small block into their car, but I want to be different.

My question is how much oil pressure does a 1976-77 era 250 produce? I am told by my turbo guy that to much oil going into the turbo is just as bad as not enough. So there is a question as to whether or not the oil line will have to be orificed down to compinsate for the extra oil. I guess teeing off where the stock pressure sender is (on the lower passenger side of the block) will be the easiest thing to do.

If there is anyone that can help, or has any other suggestions, I would be very greatful for the info.

Thanks Rob

Have a look at my topic a few down about a hair-drier/snail drum/turbo installation...that will give you a few pics to go off of.
My motor makes 60 psi oil pressure cold, 45 hot.

Normal Oper. pressure is 35-40 Psi(stock Pump) and No matter how many times you T off the Main it still should have the Same pressure. And The stock Pump should be Just fine, you should have plenty and be fine.
