There are a couple of books on the 216/235/261 and the GMC sixes by California Bill Fisher. Check past posts for a little more info, or do a google search for California Bill. The books were reprinted not too many years ago and may still be available from Borders, Barnes & Noble, or on line. Hope that helps some.

Dear Edy;

The 'early' books are nice, but could be misleading as those engines are completly different than the 'later' 1963 + version(s) etc.

When you need info; go to a Motors or Chilton auto repair manual etc.

Good luck. \:\)

Edy,,

are you looking for more performance books?

I do not think you are looking for a standard Chilton or simular manuals correct?

Guys:

I have always had an interest in virtually all inline fours and sixes (and straight eights too) but got hooked on the 240/300 inline Fords sixes after reading Ak Miller's 240 build up artile in the 1967 "Engines" book.

I bought a copy of Leo's book when it first was published and have read it cover-to-cover many times, finding any number of tips and ideas that apply regardless of the brand of six. I can only wish we over in the 240/300 Ford camp had a similar reference book. Buying a copy of Leo's book is worth the investment many times over.

I have a copy of Leo Santucci's Chevrolet Inline Six-Cylinder Power Manual (ISBN 1931128154) that's brand new... I accidentally ordered 2 of them and the place won't take the duplicate back *grumble grumble* ...

$15 shipped.

Lemme know

Edy, I have articles from magazines by Kay Sissel and others on late inline Chevy and some Ford. Also one on Barney Navarro's Indy motor, Cotton Perry's Nova, and the first motor with a duggan head I think it was in a Corvette. If anyone knows how to post them on this board I will be glad to send them so everyone can use the information. I just thought everyone had this stuff.

Tom Lowe, can you do this ? Then I can pick them up at the convention.

Is there a way to order Leo's Book without a credit card?
California Bills price was $19.95 but some other sites said $24.95
Do any of the sellers take a Check or Money Order via Snail Mail?

Finally got Leos book. I thought I knew everything until I read it. It has information on things I never even thought of. Even though I am only planning to build a motor for my work truck, the book will prevent me from making lots of boo boos.
