NEED ALUMINUM VALVE COVER FOR MY 292 (NEW OR GOOD USED) PHETHIAN RACING (OFFENHAUSER) HAS ONE BUT SAYS EARLY VALVE SPRINGS AND RETAINERS HAVE TO BE USED. ANYONE KNOW WHAT THATS ALL ABOUT

Do not know about the Offy, but had to grind the heck out of a Clifford to clear roller rockers.

My guess would be if you are using a stock valve train, the Offy, Clifford, Mercrusier etc would be fine.

I'M SORRY IF I OFFENDED ANYONE BY ACCIDENTLY PUTTING MY "DILEMA" IN THE WRONG PLACE. I'M OLD AND SLOW AND SOMETIMES MY FINGERS DON'T GO WHERE THEY SHOULD ON THIS INFERNAL COMPUTER MACHINE. I'LL DO BETTER NEXT TIME...............AND THANKS FOR THE HELP
