To all, I haven't posted anything in quite a while. Moved from Pennsylvania up here to the great white north of Alaska about three years ago. I'm in construction and am gone alot and haven't had much tme for checking out the site or even working on my 66 Chevy II. I got most of the mechanical finished up back in Pa. Finally got her painted last year to a Jade green metallic. Had it done at MAACO in Anchorage. They did a pretty decent job. Still a few things to go -- replace the headliner, which I have. A little interior trim work. Rear seat and back upholstering. Convert to cable linkage for throttle and powerglide kickdown -- have the kit from LOKAR. Just picked up some firewall grommets yesterday so I don't cut the cable. And a pedal that came off of, if I remember correctly, a 68 Nova. Just gotta work in the time to do it all. Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Is anyone else out there on the site from Alaska?

Used to be from Alaska. Worked (National Weather Service) out of Anchorage for 1 1/2 years filling in for people on leave at numerous locations, then settled in Kodiak for 12 1/2 years. Started the NWS station there in '73 and worked there until moving to UT in '85. Loved every minute of it! S

Yeah, I'm in Anchorage. That thing drivable? I go on a cruise every Thursday night with the Midnight Sun Street Rod Association. We leave from the Sears mall parking lot (in Anchorage) at about 6:30. I forget where we are going today though. Even if it isn't drivable, bring your daily (some pics too if you have them) all are welcome.
I'll be in a multi shades of red Anglia, as the GMC is a recent find.
My, what a steep learning curve. Erik II#5155

Good to hear from you all! The beast is up and running! We should have a few more weeks before the snow flies! Sunny and 70 today! I gotta get a few more rounds of golf (pasture pool) in too! Anyone have a chassis with tracks on it? LOL!
