If you go to collector cars on ebay and look up item #170143316443, it is a 1937 Pontiac with a Chev 235. Look at the view of the left side of the engine. What kind of head is that?? Joe

The seller says that it's a 1961 235. i don't see any casting numbers. It looks like a stock 235 to me. If we've seen one, we've very nearly seen them all.

God's Peace to you.

Look at the bosses right above the manifolds. It almost looks like ports for a smog pump.As far as I know smog pumps did'nt start until 66 in California. I have never seen a 235 or 261 head with these. Joe

Dear Joe;

It looks like what the seller says it is.

Has large hole for the temp guage, a 60s era fuel pump, air cleaner and draft tube.

That's a good price too.

Good luck. \:\)

You're right. It is back on ebay. It was an optical illusion. Joe
