Check with Tom Langdon.

There's a great source of parts, service and info at George Asche's in Fertigs, Pa. he doesn't do e-mail, so you'll have to call @ 814-354-2621

Lord, let me live long enough to do all the projects I have planned!

performance head, cam, intake distributor, etc. just wondering if a guy can find it all in one spot? Looks like Tom L is the best spot with the exception of the head, right?

I have personally never bought any parts from Tom Langdon but I have heard good reports on his service and customer relations from others. Before you buy you should give George Asche a call. He has been souping these engines up for over 50 years. He does not do puters so a phone call is required and his number is listed in this thread. Be prepared for a long phone call as George gets long winded but his stories are terrific.

There was a Phillips Performance ad in the
Sept/Oct 1996 12 Port News stating they would have a finned aluminium angle plug head for sale soon. Don't know if it happened or not but you might give them a call.

Thanks Don

He had moved on me and I lost the link.

Any idea how much one of his heads cost these days?

No idea of the cost of his heads nor if they are available. Personally I think a well prepared stock head will preform equally as well. Weight is not really an issue. But the biggest bang for the buck is an increase in the compression ratio.

I'm developing a new aluminum head for the 218/230 blocks. It should be avalible in the next 6-8 months.

Hud-

Not sure on the current cost, but I think they are in the $650 range... The EDGY head on a stock 230 has 9:1 compression. How much can you get out of a milled stock head?

I chatted with Earl again on the Salt this year and watched him run his '32 Chrysler with it's fuel injected 12port big block flat six under the hood. Very cool...

Glad to hear you're making progress!

Hope I can soon say the same for the 318 Poly inlet manifold I'm threatening to make...
