This is a simple drawing that allows a single LED light, be it -- tail, brake, clearance, marker, blinker, you name it it does not matter. I'm using this for a tail lamp clearance light on my 3104, because I do not want 6 + lights on my bumper.
This concept allows a single LED light to work a double function. one function allows a limited /reduced voltage (depending on the resistance involved), through a diode wired in that circuit to the LED, but when activating a second function allows 100% voltage, through a second diode, wired it it's circuitry, thus the LED becomes brighter when this second function is in operation. Obviously the first function is canceled while the second function is in operation. See schematic at
