Hello,I dont have an AMC vehicle, but today the wife and I were at a jy loking for ?? and we came upon an old gremlin w/o a hood.So I looked
at the engine, a straight 6 with A/C and power steering! This setup looked factory. Were these options rare or not? I had a friend who owned a
304 Gremlin,tho I dont remember if it had a/c.
Do you AMC guys think I should acquire these
parts as Im sure they would be fairly cheap?
Thanks.Muley

Yes, they were options, Muley.

I had a regular, El Cheapo, six cylinder Gremlin without these options, but would have loved to had A/C, at least. A friend had a Gremlin X with all of the goodies on it and it really made it nice to ride in, especially in heat, traffic and parking.

Man, you've got a wife that will hang out with you at the junk yard? You wanna get rid of her? I'll swap you a really good cook for her! (Just kidding and don't tell my wife!)

Lord, let me live long enough to do all the projects I have planned!

I hate to brag (not many topics where I am qualified to) but I actually shopped at a junk yard for my wife's Christmas present one year and she loved it (new bumpers for her Ghia)

Thanks, guys but the wife is a pretty good cook
herself. She goes with me occasionally just to get out of the house, shes a nurse, and Ive needed her skills a time or two.
As to the Gremlin,I was thinking of getting the a/c and power steering stuff in case someone
needed them. This jy keeps cars for a while then
crushes them. When we were there sunday the owner
had cleaned out about 10-12 acres of cars/trucks.
Thanks again. Muley
