guy's, i have been in contact with the manufacturer of the turbo manifolds. i have been given a price that cannot be beat. i am passing these on with no profit for me. 50.00 discount for full members of Inliners.
these are the same as i am running on my motor presently. they are machined for a t/3 turbo housing and can be opened up to a t04 if needed (i did to mine). wastegate flange is moulded into the manifold also. here is a pic mounted on a 292.
these have been for sale by another company for a much higher price. i am glad to help fellow inliners get ahead of the v-things.

link to classified

http://www.inliners.org/cgi-bin/classifi...query=retrieval

this is how we will do this. you need to PM me. in your PM include your email and a shipping address. this is so i can contact you and figure shipping. all manifolds sold will be kept confidential. tom

Dear Tom;

That's an impressive unit and price.

You might 'get together' with Loren (webmaster) and discuss a forum catagory just for turbos.

With the prices comming down many will get into the game etc.

Good luck. \:\)

I agree, there should be a separate forum topic for turbocharging.

That is impressive price is this the exact same one made by innovative or a copy? I know a guy who works for innovative they are now designing one to work with the Early novas 62-67 which will be the same but tuck the turbo in a bit closer and a bit back believe to clear the stock towers.

For $250 id be interested in one in the future. Wish my current turbo was T3 flanged and not the funky Buick 3 Bolt Deal.

The thing with the red valve looks like it would get in the way of the clutch Z-bar.

revod, i can also find out about the any other manifolds being developed.
68OS, it may get in the way of stock linkage, but a person could always convert to a hydraulic clutch if needed. tom

I suppose if I was going turbo, dealing with bleeding clutches would be just one more thing to mess with.

I'll/We will see what we can do about that. But it would be a little hard(time wise) to Move all that has already been posted on the topic/s

And seeing that The turbo is the Biggest topic.
we can title it Turbo,or (turbo/Power adder) and Let the Blower & NOS go into the same topic?

Will this be ok?

Tom...

I want one. I just did a quick search for SPA and didn't get any hits other than for hottubs. Is this deal directly through SPA, through you, or how?

it is thru me, direct with SPA. and yes douglas i talked marcelo. spa also has a complete line of turbo products, from wastegates to turbo's. all those parts are available here in the usa, but this manifold is not, well not at this price. who else is interested? tom

I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It would cost me more to get a buzz box and get all the stuff to get a TIG setup working. I am stuffing away the bucks as we speak.

TOM: What cam would you recommend for my 250T project? Since yours being a 292 would act bigger in my 250. I will get the money together for the exhaust manifold first before I send you my intake to have it drilled out. I'm still working on the 181cid distributor conversion. I tried it out in my short block and it fully engaged the cam gear and oil pump slot too. The base plate will have to change too for the 6 cylinder cap to fit. It's just a tad bit wider. I'd like to get someone with CAD to draw it up so we could get a price on having the housings made and laser cut the base plates. This would be a great computer controlled distributor. Small in size but big on features.

Will lump-porting help or hinder a 292 in a turbocharged configuration?

it will help. One main reason is it helps redirect the air flow around the short turn radius.

You would need to get an older style cylinder head. One w/a separate intake manifold.
Did you get one yet?

That exhaust & turbo combo Would Never Fit into a ChevyII body with the way the shock tower/control arm tower is.But thats looking good.

Two Issues I see with it fitting into a 62-67 chevyII body.
1.) is where the turbo itself is mounted. That's right in front of The shock tower.
2.) The blow off is also in the way Of The Z bar ball. Esp for None chevyII blocks That would need
The Bracket to mount the Z bar ball. Now if that
Had a different Blow off. That issue maybe very well gotten around. So the Biggest issue to me is the turbo Mounting Point.

fred/larry,
if you could get me some measurements:
1 from head/intake flange to shock tower
2 using a spacer and a square, put spacer against head then square against spacer. about 6" down from the intake, what is the distance to tower? do that at different heights. ie 3",6",9" ect.

as far as the z-bar. why not run a hydraulic clutch from a more modern chevy application?
tom

He could also Up date the front end to a Tubed clip. That would give him much More room and dress-up the engine Bay.

The engine bay is tight That even useing a Bell crank on a carb That sits inline with the intake,
The bell crank can Hit the tower. But a Dual Intake & carb with bell cranks can clear Because one would sit on each side of the tower To give you a Idea on how close things are Or can be for US guys with chevyIIs.

i'll see if a manifold can be made with the turbo mounted further forward, such as over the alternator.

also now in:

4 cyl turbo manifolds- these are for the chevy II motors. probably won't fit in a chevyII chassis. but would like to find out. tom

Squires Turbo In the exhaust. I have to say that it seems ridiculous, the amount of piping from the backto the engine upfront looks like a nightmare. Plus the turbo is exposed in the back end of the car? Quirky at best.

If I can get a manifold to fit under the engine bay, into a turbo unit feeding into a intercooler then back through a carb I am going to go that way.

larry,
this is not a classified. i am simply trying to let the inliner crowd know where to get a vital part to turbo a chevy inline 6.
i just so happened to work out a deal on a really good price and am only interested in passing these on the other interested people.
there is no profit in it for me.

please also notice that i am trying to encourage more inliners to be paid members of the club. tom

tlowe,

Don't feel bad, there are some people that like to complain here because they were told to remove/move there for sale ad on parts.

I had my Paxton supercharger possible interest topic locked, & it was not even for sale.
