Can someone tell me if I will need a 12v to 6v reducer when I wire my ammeter? I already put a reducer for my gas gauge, and if I'm right I will need a reducer for my heater blower.
It's for a 50 Chevy car with a newer motor (12v) and a new wiring harness.

No you don't need to put a reducer on the amp meter. It's amps, not volts.
The gas gauge and the heater blower will need reducers to take them from 12 volts to 6 volts. If not, the gas gauge will read full all the time and will never function correctly again. The heater blower will run fast for a short time and then stop. It will be burned up.

The ammeter does not need a reducer but it will read low. For example 2 amps @12 volts is the same amount of juice as 4 amps @6 volts. 24 watts in both cases.

Something to bear in mind so you don't think the alternator is not working right.

I'm pulling for you. We're all in this together.

Speedway sells a voltage regulator for the gas gauge for less than $20.00 that is about the size of a dime and is a no brainer to install on back of gas gauge and works great...SCRAP
