Hey all, my name is Chris and I'm from the lovely state of Missery. I've got tons of projects right now including, a 50 Chevy pickup, a 52 GMC pickup, a 64 Impala, and a couple 28 model A sedans. I've always loved the look and dependibility of the straight sixes so I have a couple in the works.

I just picked up a integral head 250 out of a truck from one of my buddies for the 52. My question is that I've heard somewhere that you can put a 235 head on these things to bump up the compression. Is that true? That would be sweat because I already have an old Edmunds multi carb setup for the 235.

Sorry for the long intro,
Chris

The 235 is a completely different animal than the 250.

The 194 head will do what you want, not a 235. The heads for inline 194, 215, 230, 250 and 292 motors will interchange.

Which is better on a 292, a 194 head or a 250 head?

There is no "better", they are all basically the same. The exception to that is the 194, it's combustion chamber may be smaller. Check in IIRC "Tech Tips" for casting numbers and combustion chamber size.
