It's one of those pain in the a-- 35+ seconds days. But here are some shots from Yesterday in Minden. Thanks to all who came. The Big Dodge made it! http://picasaweb.google.com/sixpics/RappinToMinden?authkey=7NpNhOWiE-8

It's been slow is an understatement!! I know its not my line I have a dedicated T1 to my office at home and its a lighting rod. Sometimes its just frustrating and I also just don't feel like coming on. Their I got it off my chest.

Great pics! Love that track roadster. The "Big Dodge" looks like it was putting some heavy stress on your springs. And for what it's worth, while log in was slow,I got into this forum and your pics at a rapid pace.

Now that that is said. Yes, Rappin' was cool, and yes the Big Dodge is a load. It shifted coming up the hill and I drug the exhaust the last 1/2 mile. No quitting, no turning back, it's a country road! I was going to replace it any way. I had an appointment Thursday but that heart thing messed that up! There will be more info on the Engine as I get it. I got a book on eBay that both answers questions and raises questions. There are numbers in some places where they shouldn't be and no numbers where they should be. Yet it is the same engine as those in the illustrations. Also '52 didn't have a 413. It seems it was a 376.98 ci. A 4" X5" and not 4 1/16 X 5 3/16 which doesn't come out to 413 either. Oh well, we're learning here, right?

Very Nice pics. Definetly a 'BIG' dodge. 4.2, neat! A Wayne even, dang, gonna have to make that one of these years. FWIW "Generated in 0.086 seconds in which 0.006 seconds were spent on a total of 14 queries. Zlib compression enabled." But it's 1/4 after 1 in the morning here too. And now for the second attempt.
My, what a steep learning curve. Erik II#5155

I have been in contact with the web host about the intermittent slow loading, every time they look at it, it is up to speed. I have been on the UBB website BB and even guys in the UK say they don't have any slow times. I think it has to do with traffic times on the web, if you experience slow BB access please email or PM me with the time and the delay (i.e. 3pm PDT-35.097 sec.). If I get enough input then I can map the exact time the BB is slow and maybe figure out the problem.
Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tom, well by now you will have worked out that we didn't get to Reno on our trip to the USA, I was a bit dissapointed in that but had to consider what the others wanted to do as well, so we may get to have a beer or 5 in a year or so, if I can save enough money, like you said Santa Maria was fantastic, I have never seen so many inline cars at a show before, I think I took about 800 photos so I have plenty to look at over the next few months. Had a look at your pics from Minden, some real nice rides there, the coupe with the Wayne head would look nice in my garage LOL, we went and met Don Ferguson Jnr while we were there and had a look at his workshop. he had about 15 wayne aluminium GMC heads on a rack so I may change my plans a little and buy one off him for mine. Thanks again for your offer of hospitality, see you next time I'm in the States or around the forums, cheers Rob Rattray, Western Australia

I wish you could have made it. It would have been fun. Next time for sure. I've spent most of my Time since Minden refreshing the 270 in my '53. Got it going today! Still some tweeking to do but it is strong again! I wish I could even dream of owning a Wayne head. I hope you get one. Wayne Horning was a member of our chapter but I never got to meet him. What a shame. Tom http://picasaweb.google.com/sixpics/53Reborn?authkey=ZS10nS-TGok
