The McGurk 2x1 manifolds are being made again by the Wayne company. Does anyone know if the Intakes will interfere with the Fenton Cast Iron Exhaust on a 235ci Chevy engine? How much to cut etc? Thanks.

I think the Clifford manifold is the only one you need grind etc. The Mc.Gurk(s) used to 'bolt on' in the 50's.

I would check with the folks at Wayne to be sure.

Good luck, John M.......

Ditto checking with Nick at Wayne Mfg. Co, ask when the Chev intakes will be available. The first castings were for GMC only.

I wouldn't expect a perfect fit with any combination of aftermarket intake and exhaust manifolds, especially repro parts... Some trial & error is to be expected, it's tedious but not rocket science.

Jack,
I got an E-mail from Nick, he said the 235 2x1 bbls intakes are available now. He didn't know how they would match up with Fentons. I'm just concerned about fit and wondered if anyone had run the set-up. Linkage and heat plates are also available.

Thanks Rick, The more I research the better I like the McGurk vs Offenhauser for the 235.

Both the Chevy and GMC super duals are $295 on the July 2004 price list.
