I have a '64 chevy C10 and the code i found on the stamp matches nothing i have for any of the motors i know of, 230, 235, 250 or 292. Unless it is an older motor than 1960. The stamp reads.... F0512CA...any ideas?
Thanks

CA lists in my Hollander as a 65-66 Chevelle 230.

There should be a date code above the starter area on the side of the block.

If you pull a spark plug and look at the top of a piston, the 230 should have flat tops, whereas a 250 would be dished. A 292 would have taller pushrod covers and the fuel pump is towards the center of the block, which would make the motor mounts staggered instead of straight accross like on the 194/230/250.
