O.K. I need more help with my project.I put a 250 chevy 6cyl into my belair.Havingtrouble with wiring .I wired up my 12 volt alternator now need help with coil and starter.I have three wires 1 pink 1 purple 1 blue near my starter all wrapped together.I need to know how to wire up my starter and wire up my coil.any help would appreciated.Picture sand even cave man drawings of wiring would be appreciated.Thank you all in advance for all your help and support

There is a wiring diagram in the factory shop manual. The manuals are also available online.

Otherwise, I can get you the info when I get home tonight, as I have a 194 in a '53 and I still have the stock harness...

18ga pink should go to the coil, and can be traced back to the gas gauge.
10ga red should go to the solinoid terminal closest to the engine, and traces back to the ignition switch.
10ga black should go to the large center terminal on the solinoid, and traces back to the ammeter gauge.

This is how it is on my '53 and what it shows in the manual.

One other thing, if you are running HEI, then you wouldn't use the 18ga pink, you would want to run a new 10ga wire from keyed power on the ignition switch directly over to the dizzy.
If you are running points, add a voltage resistor or use a coil with a built in resistor.

what if i have a pertronix kit in the coil.it is all 12 volt on the engine.thank you again for the response

Wire it like its for points and follow the instructions that come with the Pertronix. If in doubt, call Pertronix...
