my other thread was getting old and id like to start with the finished product, well almost. Need to finish the belt tension adjusters and get two belts measured and installed.

Basically two 3/8" threaded rods, 1 right handed thread and 1 left handed thread and a coupling with right and left handed threads. Much like a tie rod, turn the coupling to adjust the tension on the belt. Unfortunately all the hardware stores around here don't carry left handed thread bolts and nuts so I had to place a order with Mcmaster Carr. The opposite side brackets will look the same, with a 3/8" nut welded onto the bracket.
