For those of you who think they have a powerful inline, how about this one? 108,920 hp & 5,608,312 lb/ft torque at only 102 rpm. It is a Wartgila-Sulzer RTA96-c turbocharged inline with a 38"bore and a 98" stroke or 111,143 cu in or 1820 liters per cyl. or 1,556,002 cu in. It is a 14 cyl engine that at its most efficient setting only burns 1660 gallons of fuel per hour. It is small at only 89 ft. long and 44' high weighing a mere 2300 ton. The crank shaft alone weighs 300 ton. This engine has in excess of a 50% thermal efficiency which makes in very fuel efficent. The design requires 2 conecting rods between the crank and the piston with a slider in the center due to the long stroke small bore, it also uses pistons with special oil injectors to keep them from melting.
