hallo all
I live in germany and hope my english not to badly.
the last 5 years i drive with my truck in germany to hotrod
organizations ( for example: http://www.hotheadseast.com/ or http://www.roadrunners-paradise.de/index-race61.php ) the population becomes more and more larger. We drive 1/8 miles , that enough for the most cars. The classes are V8 flathead , small Block and big block , also you drive with your 235 inliner against all v8 small block. little david vs goliat.that makes no fun. the most american cars , trucks and hot rods becomes a v8 engine, we have no inliner history.
Now i must restore my Chevy and my project started.
at first time i look for a small block v8 but i a historic mark
for my pickup ( you can drive 6000 miles in the year ) with a v8
is my car no more history but i drive with a red mark ( only for
meetings ) .Before i start my project i search for another solution , i need more power .

i found clifford , stovebold and inliner , i begin to translate leo santucci power manuel book and see i need specialists.
I restore my 235 with normal parts i think that is not problem.
Also i tell with yankeemotors in germany i will performance a 250 or 292 but the people from yankeemotors don't know who is clifford. I think is that the right way. I have two 235 in my garage to restore. i look long time for a 250 , 292 and find in austria a 250 engine for sold.
know my first question is ( others ask follow ) .
Can i build a long life 250 inliner with perfomance part with 300-350hp without turbocharging , Nitros oxide ..
I know Hp is not al but i need a criterion.
transmission, brake system , other axle that is no problem.
if i find in usa a specialists he build me a nice inliner ,
that one also can with stupid ask annoy .
In austria i can build the 250 from 500 euro -> ( 730,35 US-Dollar) i must pay the freight und i must order all performance part in usa.
i hope my one English can understand .

thanks for a answers Volker

Volker, Your English is much better than my Deutsche! I can't answer your questions but if you can build a 300 hp 250 there for $750 you have us beat. Keep looking through this site and contact those who sell the parts you need. Look for the books that were sold by California Bill Fisher. They deal more with the 235 and 261 engines. Thanks for the links to your pictures. I am always amazed by how many real hot rods are in Europe. Here are some pictures of my '53 Chevy pickup. It has a 270 GMC engine. '53 Tom

Drive many people old pickups in usa or is it rare.
In germany you see more old amarican bikes , i know personally
two people with inadian big chiefs , three people with panhead in starframe. the motor bed thats 235 or what ?

Volker,
You may also be interested in this site about trucks.

http://www.stovebolt.com

There is an Inline Forum contributor here that has posted about his car and HotHeadsEast. If I can find a post from him I'll dispaly it. Maybe it's someone you can get some help from in Germany.

Volker, In my part of the US lots of people own and drive old pickups. Mine is driven daily. The engine in the bed in the pictures is a 413 cubic inch Dodge truck engine. You can see that it is heavy by how low it makes the pickup sit. Dodge The engine under the hood is a 270 GMC I first built in 1978. 270 Tom

Yes,Volker,I got the link to work. That seems like a good deal, on a nice engine, but I can't guess how expensive it would be to ship it to Germany.

That's my wife's '62 Super 90 Coupe. We wrecked her '60 Convertible D on our Honeymoon. She had a VW too. I always wanted a Luger! \:D

yes, drew, it is expensive i hope the shippingcost is under
800,- Euro -> 1 177,68 US-Dollar. Because i have two 235 inliner
in my garage and can by in austria a old 250 for 736,05$ but it must drill for the next oversize and it must cut for the new valves for this works i must pay the same what i pay for the shipping and now i must pay all performance parts in US .
everything what is missing on the motor can I myself make.
i think it's cheaper .

Ask beater he drive two german cars and must by al screws in metric .
beater have a Porsche Super 90 Coupe theis car is very expensive
in germany and he say the next car is a VW carmangia I'd be flat
