Has anyone put an inline 6 into a S10 chassis. Putting a 49 chevy on top wanted to keep the six.

Thanks,

Which "6"? (235/261 or the newer 250/292)

Which Chevy (pickup or car)?

I'm sure it can be done, just not sure how big a PITR it will be.

The 49 is a pickup. The engine size not determined yet, probably a 250/292. I was trying not to re invent the wheel. Hoping someone has done it and it was easy. lots of luck. Any insight is appreciated.

I have not seen an L6 used, but I know you have to shorten the front of the S10 frame to allow the truck front truck clip to sit right. Seems to me that would add to your engine space problem. However, you should ask the same question over on Stovebolt. Maybe someone there has actually done this.
