My totally stock and restored '51 Belair with 216 engine, 3 on the tree and 4:11's is in need of a transplant. I have a '61 235 with the needed upgrades in oiling and an additonal 40 HP but am open to suggestions.

It has been 50 years since I tore into a Chevy. My forte has been Model A Fords (also an inline). I need some mentoring on how to progress.

It has to be KISS (keep it simple)and suitable for looong touring.

Thanks,

Richard

Great and nothing difficult. You might get interested in replacing that 4:11 with a 3:55 out of a power glide car. Makes great cursing. 1 OL REDNECK
