Not sure if you guys already seen this, but it has an aftermarket cyl head, looks simular.
MBHD Even the stock heads look the same as the US 194-292 heads, but once you lay then side to side you see the Holden engines are quite a bit shorter than the US stuff.

That's why the Ford 200 parts can be shoe-horned in - the Holden bore pitch is 4.045", Ford 4.080".

Harry It appears to be Harry. Note the square port exhaust. IIRC, Mike Kirby says the square port exhaust on the 12 port aluminum Duggan Chevy heads flows worse than a worked over cast iron stock type head. MBHD

I believe the upper sq. ports are the intake and the lower round are the exhaust ports.
The Duggan head and block were made in Australia as race engines.
From what I have read there are Holdan blocks of different dimensions, known as Blue, Red, Black series engines. I think one of these are the same dimensions as the US and Brazil 250/292 engines.

That head and other parts are available here. http://jzedholden6.com.au/jzedgallery/gallery.asp?categoryid=25The only thing that interchanges with a Duggan/Deppe/ Sissell is the intake.

Fairly sure Duggan did not make a head for the Holden.Have a feeling it may be a copy of a head made by Phil Irving of Vincent motorbike fame. Very few were made. I have only seen one and did it perform. Other Australian Inliners may wish to comment.

Harry, If you google in Holden straight six there is more information about these motors than I could tell you. My own interest is in the grey motors which were a scaled down version of the GMC engine. Originally producing 60 hp they were made to produce up to 200 hp and were probably one of the most modified engines of all time although probably unknown outside of Australia.I personally have 21 different types of intakes using all sorts of carbs and there are lots more that I dont have. There were at least 4 different aftermarket heads including twin ohc, a twelve port crossflow and a rotary valve head that would allow the engine to rev to 9000rpm.Hope this may have been of some interest.
