This may have been posted before, but I cannot recall the thread. I do not recall where I even found this pic, hence my desire to know more about it. Does anyone know of this car?

Are those carbs or ITB's? What's the complete car going to be? Any pics of it finished?
Anything else you can elaborate on would be great. Its inspirational to me in as much as I would love to end up with a 4200 with ITB's and stainless headers in 56 210 one day.

The car is complete, its 3? ford highboy (not good with real old iron). Steve is running ITB's.
PM me your email and I'll hook you up with Steve.

I'd like to see pics of a 4200 in a '30s something Ford. My favorite part of the 4200 is it's junk yard tradition. It is what has been done in Hot Rodding from the beginning.

Just one? I've been looking at a couple of the Jag racer replicas. I think the 4200 would look sooooo bitchin in one, especially with ITBs. Of course back it with a stick, cam it to wind freely, twice pipes, make sure the car stays light, woo hooo.

That is a '32 ford roadster. It is probably a fiberglass reproduction. 1932 Fords were a one year run. It was a model B and almost nothing from the Model A was the same. Likewise the 1933 was a Model C with an all new body style. The 32 nick named the "Deuce" was the first Ford flathead V8 and the first Ford 4 cylinder with a counter balanced crank. 32s are the Holy Grail of hot rodding, the standard all else is compared to. Not that other vintage tin isn't cool, it's just that all 32s were unique.

Oh ,There is quite a bit about the 4200s here if you can get the search engine to work for you. Check out posts by efi-diy he's the guru.

Me likey I can't tell just by looking, but the better one to have is the 2006 to end of production units. Some of the very early ones had issues with dropping the sleeves, but they supposedly got that fixed quickly. I would not want to put boost to anything much earlier than 2003, and I wouldn't want to put much boost to that if it was stock. Better sleeves, rods, pistons etc can be ordered, and there seem to be group buys for cam blanks periodically.
