I've got a '57 Bel Air with a 235 in it with case numbers of a '58-'62, but the engine let go. I'm able to get a '53-'55 engine, but it's motor mount locations are different and the water pump mounts are different. What else is different? Is there motor mount adapters to allow me to mount the 53-55 engine in my Bel Air?

Thank you!

You should be able to install a 1952-1954 engine block (make sure it's a full-pressure '54!) in your '57 using the 1955 and later motor mounting points and mounts.

God's Peace to you.

What does the 1955 & later mounts look like? My '57 has 2 small brackets with 2 mounting holes for the block that mount between the front of the engine and the fuel pump. But the 53-55 engine doesn't have those locations on the block. And my mounting location in the car is on a cross member, I'm not sure there is other locations on my car for motor mounts.

Thank you for helping!
