Hey all,
I while ago I offered to do reflashes and/or wiring for anyone that is considering a 4200 swap. I now have a website. Check it out at http://www.LimeSwap.com if interested. For those that are not comfortable with programming or wiring, I can make it plug and play.

Another reason not to use the 4200 is no more..... hook up a few wires and turn the key.

Well done.

Since I have webstorage now, the wiring guide will no longer be available at KeepandShare. It can now be downloaded here:

Looks like we will be back up in a couple of days as http://www.lime-swap.com

The hyphen is important! My old domain was hi-jacked. Please stay tuned.

I tried to move the domain name from one host to another. In the 5 minutes between cancelling one and starting another, some toolbag in Germany bought it and is trying to resell it to me - probably for thousands of dollars.
1&1 was my original host, I have to assume they were complicit in this theft.

So...what's in the box?

One wiring harness:

All 3 PCM connectors integrated into 1 harness:

Vehicle connections broken out and labeled:

Electrical center with fuses and relays:

Wiring schematics in case you want to modify something later on:

A DLC connector so that any scan tool or code checker thinks your ride is a trailblazer.

The harness above is for a gent on this board who is -far as I can tell- starting from scratch.
He will have to make the following connections prior to starting:

Battery, Ignition switch, Fuel pump.

The rest are optional, like MIL light, speedo driver, tach driver, etc.

Lime,
Is that just the engine and injector harness? It isn't the whole vehicle harness is it?

Well, every project is different. The harness above includes engine, 4l60e trans, starter circuits, fuel pump relay, and fan circuits.
Everything you need to run a 4200 and trans.

I use 8 fuses because that's the way the system is set from the factory. In the harness above you could look up the circuit number for -say- O2 Sensor 2 heater power supply, see that it gets power from Fuse O2 29, and cross reference that to fuse position 1 on the stand alone harness.

Limequat, Please list what is removed form the harness. What are the choice on the PCM changes? Does the electronic gas pedal plug into this harness?

Mike, every swap is different, but in general emissions stuff can come out: Evap and air pump if you have it. I will take out the 2nd O2 sensor if a cat is not required. If a manual trans or nonelectric auto is used, all the transmission controls can come out too (that's a lot of wire \:\) )

I ask customers to include the main engine harness, the PCM C1 connector, DLC, and the gas pedal connector. If any of these are not available, I will provide them. The result is one harness for all of the powertrain controls.

On the programming side, we mostly do configuration, although I am working on a turbo tune.
First anti-theft is disabled, so you can actually start your project. Then DTCs are disabled as required. The speedo is set for your tire size and rear gear ratio. Fan temps can change if you're using the stock electro-viscous fan. The speed limiter is raised or disabled, as stock can be as low as 98 mph. Idle speed can be raised.

There are slight differences between model years. If you're interested in a specific year, I can send you one of my options sheets.

Here's a harness for a gent running a manual trans and no emissions. It makes for a tidy little setup:

Jeremy, The box of wiring is great! Laid out everything and it fits tto a "T". I am impressed with the brackets and fuse panel
you made. Looking forward to the next step of the build.
