Recently bought a engine/trans/chassis supposed to be a 65 292 Powerglide on a shortbox frame.I haven't been able to find this engine # anywhere- 5412284. Sure looks original.Just wondering...Tom

The block# should be on passenger side, above large GM letters.

Got it! Thanks.The # I was trying to use was stamped on the flat by the distributor. Sure enough 63-76 292.
