Offering for sale one of the last Larrowe & Sons produced blower manifolds for the 250/292. $500. Will post it here and in 5 days list it on eBay. Doing this on behalf of fellow NNVI inliner, uncomfortable in the forums. Contact John, (775)781-6643,nvredneck43@yahoo.com, or I can act as intermediary! Will attempt to add link to photos later!

Nice!
I always wanted one, just never enough $$$$,

At the time B&M made a blower w/the correct length snout to bolt right on & lines up w/all your pulleys.

Jules Glauvason (SP)(or something like that) was selling the whole kit, which I could not afford either. IIRC about $3500
this was back in the 80's..

BTW,,, What blower can you use now that will bolt right on & line up w/pulleys?

Hank, I think they are kinda' semi-universal for blower mounting. I sent one to a guy in Brazil about 6 months ago and looked it over pretty good and as you can see it isn't drilled for any specific blower at this point. I guess that way you can position it where you need to since their really isn't an application specific blower available for this intake, its just what ever you can make fit on it and work.

That's a serious snout! I'd like to see more pictures of the vehicle it's in.

Sorry Bill we need to stay focused on John's manifold. \:o Beater

Mounting the blower to the manifold (or any manifold) is a bit more complicated.
The length of the specific blower between the drive pulley and the discharge port may be a variable in that other nose pieces or extensions may exist. Simply aligning the pulley with your front drive may place the discharge in a bad place.
The blower's discharge port may not be the same size and/or shape as the manifold's intake window, and centering the blower is not always the best position for mixture distribution.
Many roots and screw-type blowers (especially older ones including original GMC) have rectangular ports, but the charge volume is heavily biased to a much smaller triangular area just behind the nose; the remaining opening does very little. Modern Eatons already have a triangle port, as do some high-dollar GMC clones (12-71 etc.).

I think they were originally designed to work with the B&M blower designed for the Ford small block after looking at a few installations, it puts the blower drive snout closer to the center of the engine.. The others should work to ,it'll just mean longer belts.

That is what they were made for. A B&M blower.
Years ago in the 12 port newsletter, a guys named Jules Glauveson(SP) was selling them as a complete bolt on kit. It had a specific bolt pattern for the B&M blower & had the correct length blower snout made from B&M.

I have the old 12 port newletter w/an article on the kit somewhere, 1980's era.
