Just got a FREE GM Rochester 2-Jet for my 230 Nova engine project. Supposedly from a Buick nailhead engine. Needs a rebuild kit and a cleanup but it's pretty complete. Will try to adapt it to my single barrel stock intake with an aluminum adapter plate. Not time for that yet though, first need to finish the long block.
Just opened it up, no parts missing. Rubber tipped needle, accelerator pump rubber still pliable. Two stink bugs, still alive. Minor corrosion. Butterfly housing rusted. (Bead blasting will take care of that)
Man, that blast job made it look like new. I ran a little 2GC 1-3/32 venturi (roughly 28mm hank talk)off of a 283 Chevy on a 194 with just a rebuild and stock jets-it did well without the nasally whistle of the stock Model B. Should do well on a 230.
