Hello
Can anyone give a normal idle vacuum range for a good-running 1947 Chrysler 6 or similar model?
I have a weird problem I am trying to diagnose.
Thank you

Dear Ward;

It's the same as any other 6 cyl. Around 20" with the needle steady.

To adj idle on that: Turn mixture screw in all the way till screw stops then out 1 1/2 turns. Then start engine, screw in till egine "stumbles" (starts missfiring), then back out till smooth + 3/4 turn.

Next; Set the speed screw.

Good luck, John M., #3370...
