Inliners International Forums General Discussion Blown and Injected Turbo JED update

Its been a long time! JED turbo has been doing great. I have driven it a lot. Some of the updates:


[*]EV carb hat- awesome upgrade, much smoother air flow.

[*]Rotated the carb 180 degrees to get the fuel bowl away from the turbo heat, has improved drivability

[*]Hooked up a VooDoo V manual boost controller- WoW! faster spool, set it at 10psi and it hold with no creep, then I had to up the carb jets to 61 and the WOT at 10psi AFR is right at 12.2. Sweet baby Jesus, it pulls hard!!




I think I blew out my intake/exhaust gasket right at 3/4 cylinder. Can anyone recommend a good gasket?

Plans: I am pulling the T5 manual and replacing it with a built up 700R4 with a custom built 2500-2700 stall converter. I am really pumped!

I wanted snowman to use the same carb hat, looks like a better design.

What is nice when running a turbo & a automatic is that you can apply the brakes & boost launch really easy, you are going to like that transmission change.

Hope you are getting lock-up converter also, helps lower the RPM & better mileage.

Boucher, Thanks for the update. So often we get to follow a build but when it is done we don't get follow up info. It sounds like you are having fun and continuing to tweak it for the better.
