Has anybody ever tried cutting the intake and exhaust off an integrated head?

I read here that it has been done in a full race engine . IIRC you end up with a 12 port head. Jay 6155

It wouldn't provide any benefit over a siamese head for the additional cost of machining them off of the head.

Yes, people have done it. It won't be a street engine. It will be a highly modified head with a custom built intake and exhaust.
