Hi all, New here. Know a few members from purchasing parts. Not sure if I can upload pictures so I'll post videos if that's the case. Here's a description:
Head work:
1.94 intake 1.60 exhaust valves. 5 angle valve job.
z/28 valve spring
bronze guides
Lump ports
7/16 bbc studs
comp cams roller rocker 1.75 ratio.
.030 shaved off the head.

Block work:
.040 over bore. Ross racing pistons. Forged aluminum. 18 cc dish.
551 grams weight vs 742 stock.
Stock rods balanced and refitted with arp 350 sbc arp studs and bolts.
Crank shaft balanced and ground.
Block zero decked.
Smith Brothers pushrods.
Cam: comp 268 duration 219 @.050 .496 lift on a 110 lobe center.
Clevite bearings.
Melling oil pump.

Looks real good! That dark color really makes the polished aluminum stand out nicely.

Very nice looking engine. I like the timing cover detail. I'm
sure it will run as good as it looks.

Thanks! Yeah I wanted to get a billet timing cover but the balancer was put on before I could get one here. lol So made do with what I have. TJ

What is the compression ratio on your engine?

You had to machine out that much material out of the front lifter cover to clear the distributer?
That is quite a chunk of material.

Our dist. sits more inside the lifter valley then one would think just to look at. But yes it is fairly deep.

9.5.1 and I got the lifter covers from Mike aka MrHotRod6. So that was the way it was designed. Thanks. TJ

Nothing much to report on the engine lately. Been maintaining the truck. I did get T Lowe's breather adapters and painted those. Still have to put them on. Just need to get breathers and break in oil and the engine is ready.
