Inliners International Forums General Discussion Hi Performance Chevy 235 Split Manifold or Headers

I'm replacing my 1951 Chevy 216 for a 1960 235. I plan to add dual carbs and exhaust. I really like the look of an old school split manifold, but I'm concerned it won't flow well enough too provide the full benefit. Am I over thinking this? Fenton headers would be the easy way to go, however, that's not quite the look I'm after. What are your thoughts?

Will that work? I bought my 250 manifold from Tom and I've been very pleased. He'll also help advise you on other stuff for your engine. The guy is a wealth of knowledge.

I believe offenhouser makes a dual single barrel intake for the 235 and you can get headers from Speedway motors. Tom Langdon's headers are for the 194-230-250-292. The 235 and 261 have round ports. Fenton headers are a great set. Lot of people have used them. Clifford Performance may also have an intake and headers.

Tom also makes headers for the round ported 216, 235 and 261.
