Hi Everybody, Does anyone know a source for telling what crankshaft casting numbers were used in which stovebolt engine?

Any other way to tell?

Thanks.

Hi RacerRoy3 . . . the '57 Chevrolet Parts Master indicates that all '54 to '57 six cylinder engines used the same crank - master index 0.646:

The Old Car Manual Project '57 Parts Master

This makes sense because the only dimensional difference between a 235 and 261 is the bore. The increase in a bore is evidenced by the difference in part numbers between 235 and 261 blocks (again from the same Parts Master reference) master index 0.033:

Thanks stock49. Do you know where I can find the same information on the '58 -'62 model years?
