are there smaller water pump pulleys for a 292 or were they they a standard size. is there any way to get a smaller pulley and drive the water pump faster ??

Search junk yards or swap meets to try & find similar spacing but smaller diameter W.P. pulley.

spacing / install depth can be changed by pressing the mounting flange on the pump deeper on the shaft or pulling it further out so that allows for more pulley choices. Just did this when I replaced the tall 2-groove pulley with a shallower single groove V8 pulley.

thanks guys i was hoping for a easy answer but will have to get out to the wrecking yard and find one.
