Indeed . . . I particularly like the 216 valve cover installed over the top of the 250 valve cover. Makes it look like a blown stovebolt!

The cantilevered oil bath air-cleaner sitting in a firewall relief is equally tasteful . . .

I can't see how that radiator is going to keep up, though...

Just for show eh? When you first posted about the project I had assumed you were going for a working DOHC . . .

There is an Inliner out there that actually makes an adapter that bolts to the 250 head that allows you to bolt the Stovebolt valve cover directly to it. So its not likely bolted over the top of the 250 valve cover.

The chevytalk post is pretty specific about this aspect of the engine:
"Topping the block is a custom valve cover from Starks that basically uses a stock 216 cover that sits over the 250 valve cover—making the engine look older (and therefore smaller) than it really is."

It looks like a nice build, but to be honest, I have no interest or desire to read the build up on it or care how they did it. I just know a better solution to achieve that aspect of it is available and they could have found a simpler and less expensive route to get the same result if they had only looked. That's all i'm saying.

Just to emulate a Duesenberg race engine of that era. Not a working DOHC head - YET. I do plan to design a DOHC head for a possible future update using commonly available inexpensive late model Modular V8 valve train components. But truth be told I can make all the HP this chassis can handle with this current crossflow head - easily as much as the Millers, Offies, and Duesies of the era.
