Im new here and figured this would be the best place to post up some parts I have for sale. I tried posting this in the swap meet section, but for some reason it won't let me post there. If an admin can move this post to the Swap Meet section, that would be awesome!
Here's a little history as to how I got these parts:
I own a custom fabrication shop and had a customer bring me a 1953 GMC Fire Truck to put a Cummins diesel in and convert to 4wd. All the parts left over are for sale and in good working order. I was told the truck had around 40k miles on it when we started the build. I would venture to say that this could be an accurate number since most fire trucks never get that many miles. Also, being a fire truck, it was definitely well maintained the majority of it's life.
Here's a list of what is available, I will get more photos when I get back to the shop on Monday:
-Solid running 302 inline 6 engine with all accessories: $1800 OBO
-5 speed manual transmission. I don't know the exact model, but I will update this post when I get back to the shop. It is a non-synchronized transmission. $200 OBO
-Stock gauges, all in functioning order (we replaced them with new Dolphin Gauges) $200 OBO
I don't know the value of these things, so just make me a reasonable offer.
I may have more parts available; I will have to check when I get back to the shop.
