Hi all! I'm new here, have a 250 Chevy Suburban and am working on my '29 Ford Model A
I'd like to use a late model Ford 4 cylinder in it, and need to know if anyone has mated a Focus engine to an automatic RWD trans???

Also, whats the difference between the Zetec and the Duratec fours? Is one the same as the '89 Ranger 2.3 that I'm putting in my kid's 57 Nash?

Thanks very much for any help on this!!

Welcome John,
You are new to this sight so I did a search on
previous posts in "Inliners" for info for you but unfortunately came up with nada. That doesn't mean you won't get help though. People are in and out of these forums constantly so help may arrive. Hang in there. I enjoyed your '50 Burb web. That is a nice engine set up. Is that a Clifford intake for the Dellorto's?

No, thats an intake I made after waiting for Clifford to gear up after Jack died. They were up front and honest with me over there, but wouldn't get to mine for several months, so I had a successful go at it. Had it Jet-Hot coated and it works fine!

Thanks for all the kind words, looking forward to hanging out and being helpful here!

John

Kansas Racing Products

has often been discussed in this forum. KRP produces some exciting and expensive pieces for the later Ford four-cylinder engines, including replacement blocks to which V8 heads can be adapted. At one time KRP also sold new Zetec and Duratec engines.

For some description of the several versions of the Duratec engine, see

Welcome to the inliners John.

Man I love that intake with those Delortos!

Great Burb. Whish I could have one like that, but they are verrrrrry rare here in Germany.

What is this "fuel filter looking" device at the fire wall, that is connected to the valve cover?

Thanks for all your help on this, I'll check them out today at lunch.
The fuel filter device is a vacuum equalizer for the PCV
It's an old fuel filter off a '67 Cadillac hearse
