Ok, I think I understand what I have, but just want to double check with some of the folks that probably know for certain.

My pickup if a 1946. From what I was able to determine searching on the web, I is 50, and D would be 1945, is this correct?

I also understand that this would have been in a truck with the DO rather than a DA which would have probably been for a car.

I believe this is a Muncie 318 (3-speed, no overdrive), is that correct?

I'm not sure what the 20012 means, anyone know?

Hi Keroppi . . .

The tocmp: '46 Truck Specifications indicates that you have a 3-speed Muncie. The first unit produced was serial number 1001 so you have the (20012 - 1001) = 19011th gear box built.

Thanks, I guess this would imply that the transmission is original to the truck. Is this a Muncie 318 do you know?
