I have BHJ making me a SFI damper for my 292 with integrated serpentine pulley on it. It takes a big block oil seal and 2 keyways because of the blower and oil pump pulleys . I have a Crower billet crank. It cost $1K but I had to pay for the engineering so the next guy's should be a lot less. I should have it in a couple more weeks.
I don't know what it weighs but he called me yesterday to verify 8 ribs on the pulley and said it will ship first part of next week and I'll weigh it. I have electric P/S and A/C but my alt. is 250 amps so I thought 8 ribs would be better. Mechman made the alt. I have to figure out how to post pictures.
Maybe I have to be a member to post pictures. I tried to do that a couple of times too but it won't submit. It might be my 1 three legged squirrel internet. I'll try going in town.
You can tell by how few pictures are posted here that posting pictures is difficult at best and to use the picture gallery you do have to be a member. If you use an online host I think you can still post from there. You have to click in the "Switch to Full Reply Screen" box below.

Picture posting here is really shitty the way it was originally intended. I figured it out with a lot of experimentation and it's actually really pretty fricken simple. You don't even need to switch to full reply screen either. It's all about the BBCode.
Try this. Go to https://imgbb.com/ to upload an image. I made a Snip of the Inliners web logo to demonstrate.
The secret is to use "BBCode thumbnail linked" in the Embed codes pull down on IMGBB. Click on the picture below for example.
Simply copy the link and paste it in the message. Works amazing. No accounts needed or expensive sign ups on paid hosting. This FAQ should be sticky'd someplace better to help others.

Give it a try.
Thanks buy I don't have a clue what any of that means.

6000 or so but will be shifting about 4000 in race mode. My issue is that it is so long. In race mode probably 18-20 lbs boost. Should be 750-800 HP. I'm limited by not doweling the mains.
Mick, I need to know more about your engine! I am looking to run this engine right to the end of what it’s capable of! As such, I want to gather as much information from other people’s builds, success and failure, to make the best call on the direction.
IDT much of mick53's project transposes to a different normally aspirated engine, not to mention how much money has been spent. Have you read Santucci's book?
Oh, I’m not NA. This current engine will be running at 15psi. The next build, I’d like to push 30 through. 😇 I have read and re-read both editions of his book. Lols of good information in there! Sadly, I cannot retain it, and need to frequently reference it and ask questions.
Blackwater, I have looked on the ATI site and didn’t see a listing for me. I emailed them over a week ago and have not heard back.... Would you happen to know the part number?
Does anyone know if I can use a 292 damper on my 250? If I read correctly, the 292 is internally balanced, where the 250 is not?
I am at the stage of install my damper and I don’t believe I have the correct one.
The one I took off the engine I pulled out was a stock unit with a thickness of 39.39 mm (1.55”)... which is different from every other 250 I’ve owned.
Oh! I’m confused, then, by the way the dampers are listed on the Summit site... there are a few that have the grooves cut, but only one says it is internally balanced.
So, would a 292 unit be an upgrade from the 250 one?
I received my SFI damper from BHJ. The pulley between the crank trigger will be turned down and the center used. It was cheaper and easier than making it from scratch. I need to make a spacer from the damper to the crank trigger. They sent me a "slip fit" hub for mock up for free.

Keep in mind if you are drag racing if you go faster than 9's SFI kicks in. Then things get real expensive. Mike Kirby told me if you go more than 800HP without doweling the mains the crankshaft will leave the building.
