The Northern Nevada Inliners Chapter would like to welcome you to join us for the 40th Anniversary celebration of Inliners International during the 2021 Convention.

This event will be on September 28 – October 3, 2021 at Gold Dust West (GDW) in Carson City, Nevada. There will be a variety of events to participate in throughout the week.
Starting September 28th, the Welcome reception and checkin will begin. Once you have checked in, you are free to explore Carson City or Virginia City or just kick back and visit with other club members who have arrived. If you are interested in museums, Carson City has the Nevada State Museum and there is a museum within the State Capital. Virginia City is a great opportunity to step back in time – mine tours, shopping, and museums. The Hospitality Meet and Greet will be 5:00pm-6:00pm at GDW.

On September 29th, we start the day by heading to Reno to visit the Reno Automobile Museum. If you have not seen this collection, you will be in for a treat. And if you have been there before, it will be new to you as cars are rotated periodically. Following the tour, we will be having lunch at the museum, catered by “Roundabout Catering”. During our stay, we will be hosting a Show n’ Shine in the parking lot. The winner will be announced during the Banquet.

That evening we will head to the Silver Oak Golf Course for the Membership dinner with cocktails starting at 5:00pm and dinner at 5:30pm. Dinner will consist of Meatloaf or Penne Pasta Toscano, garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed French green beans, house salad, dinner rolls and butter, and cheesecake with a choice of blueberry or strawberry sauce.

September 30th, we have planned to (2) private collections to tours – Mike Silvera and Ned Bacon. What is exciting is that we will be visiting Mike’s home where he has a collection underneath his home. This is a rare opportunity since he does not show this collection very often. Donuts and coffee will be available in his driveway.
Following this tour, we move to the Ned Bacon’s collection. There are five (5) outbuildings to explore.
After the Ned’s tour, we will be adjourning to Westwood Park for lunch. “Nevada Nosh” Food Truck, will be catering lunch. During lunch, the 2nd Show n’ Shine will occur. Again, the winner will be announced at the Banquet.

In the afternoon, we head over to the Johnson Lane area of Minden, to visit Mike’s Silvera’s warehouse. This collection is something to see.
In the late afternoon, hospitality meeting will be at GDW. Three (3) tech talks will be presented starting at 7:00pm at GDW. Tom Langdon will discuss carburetors – Tom Lowe will discuss engine performance - and Keith Bancroft (Inliners International Technology Services Administrator) will be presenting tips and tricks regarding the Inliners International websites and the iMembersDB.

On October 1st, there will be a day cruise around the crystal, blue waters of Lake Tahoe. We will meet at the Safeway at South Lake Tahoe for donuts and coffee. After that, the day is yours. There are plenty of sightseeing opportunities in store. Suggested things to do are: MS Dixie Paddle Boat to Emerald Bay, Gondola ride at Heavenly Resort, Sand Harbor NV State Park (beach/easy nature walk), Taylor Creek nature walk, Camp Richardson, Gatekeepers Museum & Marion Steinbach Indian Basket Museum, etc.

There will be a photography contest – “Memories of Lake Tahoe”. There will be a page in your tour book that shows the areas that you will need to take a picture of as you tour around the Lake. The person with all of the correct pictures will win a prize. If there is a tie, time to draw those cards (after all, it is Nevada).

October 2nd, there will be a day cruise around Carson City, Genoa, Gardnerville, and Minden. The cruise will drive by the Governor’s Mansion; the house that was featured in “The Shootist” starring John Wayne, Lauren Becall, and Ron Howard; and the State Capital. There will be a stop in Genoa, Nevada’s oldest settlement, and you can have a drink at the oldest, running bar in NV.
From there, the cruise goes on to Roy Rehm’s home, an airplane and car enthusiast. The tour of his shop will amaze you as he explains his passion regarding airplanes, how he obtained parts/made parts, and how he is assembling eight (8) Boeing 100 airplanes.

As we head into Gardnerville, you can grab your lunch at the any establishment of your choice and head for Al and Vicki Jewell’s (Northern NV Inliners Chapter Head and Inliners International VP) to eat your lunch. We will have an ice cream vendor plus other desserts for your sugar fix. Drinks will be available was well. The 3rd and final Show n’ Shine will take place at the Jewell home.
That evening, the Inliners International Banquet happens at GDW at 5:30pm. Menu will consist of: Grilled Salmon with dill hollandaise, Roasted Prime Rib with Au Jus and Horseradish, and Roasted Pork Loin with a cream garlic sauce. Awards will follow dinner.

There will be Inliners International merchandise on sale in the Juniper room at the GDW. And don’t forget to order your special 40th anniversary Inliners International T-shirt and/or sweatshirt. Just fill out your size(s) and quantities on your registration form.

We hope that entices you to join us this Fall.
