I have never seen a paint code mentioned in conjunction with the yellow 261s - even over at
VCCA. My understanding is that 261s were painted a different color so they weren't mistaken for run of the mill engines in truck assembly plants. There may well be nothing special about the shade and the folks in Flint used whatever yellow paint the guys in Purchasing bought.
