I found an 85 camaro V6 tranny today. It was a good deal, so I bought it. I ran it through the gears and had every intention of following Jack's lead and putting an S10 tailshaft on it. But when I got home...
I think it has a 4.00 first gear? Can this be correct out of a camaro? It has 1352-071 tag on it and I checked it out at 5speeds.com but I can't imagine this to be the right tranny. Guess I'll win the holeshots with this one.
Jack can you help me here? 14 spline input, camaro tag and camaro tailshaft, can it really have a 4.00 first from the factory?
