When I was 16 I had a 34 chevy master sedan. I always kept a 6 cylinder in it, primarily because they were really cheap at the time. I always used the new enignes bell housing and clutch. The 34 transmission bolted up to 4 different 6 cylinder engines, 34 to 65, with out changing the torque tube or clutch linkage. The only problem I had was the pilot bearing and once I had to drill two new holes for the transmission.
